A Pocket Prayer for the Military

This prayer is meant to be read silently by members of the Armed Forces at the beginning of the day or a watch.

Directions:
Cut this prayer out and tape or glue it to a playing card or a piece of cardboard, such as from a cereal or cracker box.

Military Prayer
God, thank you
for protecting me yesterday.
Please keep me
free from harm today and tonight.
I ask for Your comforting presence
when I am lonely and afraid.
Help me, in all my actions,
to bring honor to myself,
to my Unit,
to my Country,
and especially to You.
Help me remember that
no matter what happens,
You have a tight hold on me
and will never let go.
In Jesus' name I pray,
Amen.
