Have you heard it all before about Christianity?

"I am not a Christian. I was a Christian for 25 odd years and I have heard it all before."

That was the note I got from a site visitor from England, who had purchased my ebook, Single & Sure. She wanted a refund and, of course, immediately received one. All my ebooks have a money back guarantee.

But her note got me thinking. Can we write off God and Christianity like we can a bad restaurant? If we're disappointed, do we simply give up and say, "I've heard it."?

These are relevant questions for disappointed singles. If God hasn't answered your prayers for a spouse or to fix your unhappy life, is it fair to throw in the towel and decide Christianity doesn't work? Or maybe you're not a Christian at all, and you're getting pretty sick of me harping on it all the time.

If you think you've heard it all before, here's something you haven't heard yet about Christianity.

F'ree music for your iPod!

It's very rare that you stumble onto something f/ree on the Internet that just blows you away. I had that experience when I was researching the Primitive Baptist denomination for my work at www.christianity.about.com

Paradise Primitive Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas has graciously posted hundreds of a cappella (unaccompanied vocal) songs and hymns on its web site. Some of my favorites there include Amazing Grace 2, Angel Band 2, Because He Lives 2, Go Bury Thy Sorrow, I Know My Redeemer Lives 2, Some Sweet Day, and Sail Away Home. Yeah, I could go on and on.

This is goosebump music, fellow singletons!

This hauntingly beautiful music is available in MP3 and wmv formats. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did: F'REE a cappella songs

They rolled the stone away

Darkness reigned throughout the world
and sadness was within.
Mankind had no hope at all
so smothered in its sin.

Then God performed a miracle
upon that Easter day.
He raised his Son up from the dead,
they rolled the stone away.

They rolled the stone away,
so we could see inside.
Jesus Christ has risen up
the tomb's unoccupied.
Two angels said he is not here,
rejoice, give thanks and pray.
He broke the chains of death for you.
They rolled the stone away!

If you're a sinner please take heart
he saved you from your doom.
So choose the path that leads to him
don't doubt the empty tomb.

Out of love he set you free
reach out to Him today.
He lives now so that you can too
They rolled the stone away.

They rolled the stone away,
so we could see inside.
Jesus Christ has risen up
the tomb's unoccupied.
Two angels said he is not here,
rejoice, give thanks and pray.
He broke the chains of death for you.
They rolled the stone away!

Your brain vs. loneliness

I try very hard never to be condescending to you. I respect your intelligence and I hope you sense that when you visit the site or read Inspire-O-Gram. That's why I say that loneliness is only manageable, not curable.

My ebook, Outsmarting Loneliness, explains what I've learned about managing loneliness over the past 40 years. It's practical, it works, and I know you have the ability to do this.

It's simple. Either we control our emotions or they control us. If you don't think you can, Outsmarting Loneliness shows you exactly how. And, it comes with a money back guarantee.

Curious now? You can learn the full details at Outsmarting Loneliness.

Easter is this coming Sunday, so this month's quotation is perfect for us single folks. I couldn't find much information on Floyd Williams Tomkins, other than that he was a Christian writer. You can read his ebook, Beacons on Life's Voyage for f'ree here

Let the resurrection joy lift us from loneliness and weakness and despair to strength and beauty and happiness.
-- Floyd W. Tomkins --

Jesus Christ rose from the dead. It's no myth. His resurrection gives hope to us singles.

Our God is real and mighty and capable of amazing things. He hears our prayers and heals our hearts. That's something to shout about!

Who needs a laugh?

Due to the tremendous popularity of our Quotes for women page (viewed nearly 6,000 times last month), I've added a new one, just for laughs.

Funny quotes for women includes some real corkers, from men as well as women.

Enjoy!

Looking for fulfillment?

Yeah, and what single person isn't? The trouble is, like married folks, we're looking to the wrong things. Here are some thoughts on why the usual suspects just can't fulfill you.

Well, by now I suspect the unbelievers still reading are as scarce as a glass of milk in a nightclub. But if you're still with us, whoever you are, you can zing me your comments, gruntled or disgruntled, by using our equal-opportunity contact form.

That, fellow singletarians, is our Easter 2011 edition. I hope you found something worthwhile in it.

Until May, when I turn (yipes!) 60 years old, Happy Easter!
